Minister of Foreign Affairs has a phone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel

On 20 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a phone conversation with H.E. Mr. Gideon Sa'ar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel.

The Israeli Foreign Minister expressed his condolences for the death of a Thai hostage in Gaza, Mr. Sonthaya Oakkharasri, whose remains were recently retrieved and emphasized that Israel would fully support and provide assistance to the family of the victim. The Thai Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the commitment and the Israeli side's facilitation of a swift return of the body to the family. In addition, the Israeli Foreign Minister pledged to ensure the safety and well-being of Thai workers currently working in Israel.
