The ASEAN-Korea Centre (Secretary-General Kim Jae-shin) is bringing the '2025 ASEAN-Korea Music Concert: Going Together in Viet Nam' to Ho Chi Minh City on November 1, 2025, at the Military Zone 7 Indoor Sports Complex, co-hosting with the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE) and the SILKROAD C&T. This concert marks the first large-scale cultural exchange event organized by the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC), a leading international organization in ASEAN-Korea cultural diplomacy, in collaboration with both public and private sectors.

A full lineup of popular artists representing K-pop and V-pop will take the stage before an audience of approximately 3,000 local fans. From Korea, the lineup features the multinational girl group Kep1er, the boy group AHOF which includes a Filipino member, and the originator of "Taekwon Trot", Na Tae Joo. They will be joined by popular Vietnamese singers, Min and Đức Phúc, who are expected to heat up the stage. In particular, Sooyoung, a member of the iconic Korean girl group Girls' Generation, and Mạnh Cường, a leading announcer from Vietnam Television (VTV), will serve as the MCs for the event, playing a role as a cultural bridge between the two countries.
Furthermore, this concert is organized as a charity event, with all proceeds to be donated in full to support the underprivileged children and youth in Viet Nam through the Viet Nam Red Cross Society, and its Ho Chi Minh City chapter.

With the growing interest in K-pop and K-culture across Southeast Asia, the concert is expected to strengthen cultural solidarity between ASEAN and Korea and vitalize cultural exchange centered on the future generation of Viet Nam, where the concert is held. The concert also signifies the strong ties of the two nations as crucial cultural tourism partners. Based on 2024 figures, Korea ranked first among ASEAN Member States in terms of foreign visitors to Viet Nam (approximately 4.5 million), while Viet Nam ranked second among ASEAN visitors to Korea (approximately 500,000).

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary-General Kim Jae-shin stated, "With the ASEAN-Korea relationship being elevated to a 'Comprehensive Strategic Partnership' in 2024, which has significantly broadened the horizons for cooperation, I am very pleased to hold this concert in Viet Nam, a key partner for Korea in culture and tourism." He added, "I expect that this concert will serve as a precious platform for enhancing an understanding of each other's mass culture and reaffirming the bonds of friendship between the people of ASEAN and Korea through the medium of K-pop and V-pop."
