Portion of 156th Avenue SE to close temporarily for stormwater work by County

This PSA is being shared to support communication efforts of Cleveland County, a government agency separate from the City of Norman, for general resident awareness.
On January 21, 2026, Cleveland County crews will begin replacing a damaged stormwater pipe under 156th Avenue SE, approximately 850 feet south of the intersection of 156th Avenue SE and State Highway 9. The repairs will take approximately one day to complete depending on weather conditions.
This portion of 156th Avenue SE will be closed to thru-traffic for stormwater pipe repair work during this time. The detour route is 132nd Avenue SE. Signs will be in place to direct motorists.
