Michael Whatley and JD Vance Expose Roy Cooper’s Radical Far-Left Record at Kinston Midterm Rally

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 28, 2026

KINSTON - Today, Vice President JD Vance and Michael Whatley exposed Roy Cooper's radical far-left record at a rally in Kinston. Vance and Whatley slammed Cooper for his radical left record of releasing thousands of violent criminals from prison early, with over half going on to be rearrested after release, including for murder, rape, and violent assault. Whatley and Vance also hit Cooper for making costs go through the roof for North Carolina families, including housing, healthcare and energy.

Vance doubled down on his endorsement of Whatley as the commonsense candidate who is committed to making North Carolina safer and more affordable, unlike Cooper, who will be a puppet for Chuck Schumer and radical Democrats.

"It was an honor to have Vice President Vance in Kinston today.

Vice President Vance presented a clear argument that Roy Cooper will be nothing but a puppet for Chuck Schumer and radical far-left Democrats in the Senate. This election is about a choice between common sense and crazy. Cooper has spent his entire career fighting harder for criminals and illegal aliens than North Carolina families. He made stuff cost more, supported men in girls sports and vetoed the Parents Bill of Rights. North Carolina needs a common sense Senator who will always put North Carolina first. Get out and vote!" said Michael Whatley.
