FORT WORTH, TX (July 27, 2026) - Trademark Property Company (Trademark), a mixed-use investor, developer, and operator, and Harrison Street Asset Management, a leading alternative global investment management firm with $109 billion in assets under management, today announced significant advancements for Anthem, a transformational redevelopment of the 43-year-old Lincoln Square shopping center in Arlington, Texas. The firms are joint venture partners on the $135+ million redevelopment, with InterBank providing refinancing and construction financing for the project. The 43-acre development is scheduled to break ground on August 3, 2026, with completion slated for early 2028.
"With the addition of meaningful projects like the National Medal of Honor Museum and the expansion of the entertainment district near AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field, North Arlington has been on a meteoric rise over the last decade," said Terry Montesi, CEO and Founder of Trademark. "Anthem - formerly Lincoln Square - has been a staple of this community for more than 40 years, and we're honored that the City of Arlington trusted us to take this strategic development to the next level. After years of diligent planning, groundbreaking is our first major construction milestone in delivering a dynamic lifestyle destination for this community and the DFW metroplex."
Designed to serve as the modern gateway to North Arlington and a destination-worthy meeting place in the middle of DFW, after demolition of 70,000 square feet, Anthem is expected to feature 404,000 square feet of retail, food & beverage, public spaces and entertainment space upon completion. Trademark will lead a full renovation on the property, including improvements to walkability and connectivity, as well as increased surface parking, all new facades and new branding and signage. As part of Trademark's signature approach to placemaking, the plans for Anthem also feature a public green space, a curated public art program, outdoor seating, bike racks and event programming.
"We're excited to partner with Trademark on the redevelopment of Anthem, a project that reflects our shared vision for creating vibrant, community-focused destinations in high-growth markets," said Nathan Rogatz, Director at Harrison Street Asset Management. "With Arlington's continued population growth and expanding entertainment district, we believe Anthem is well positioned to become a premier destination that will serve residents and visitors for years to come."
Working closely in a public-private partnership with the Arlington Economic Development Corporation and the City of Arlington, Trademark has prioritized local market research through surveys, planning sessions and community meetings since becoming involved in 2022. The overall strategy behind the redevelopment has been heavily influenced by the feelings and ideas expressed by the community.
"What we come to appreciate about our partnership with Trademark is a combined team approach to community feedback," said Marty Wieder, Executive Director of the Arlington Economic Development Corporation. "Trademark's goal is Arlington's goal: transformational redevelopment that integrates seamlessly with the neighboring fabric of the City. And the vision we've developed together for Anthem will further Arlington's reputation as an entertainment hub, addressing the needs and wants of residents and visitors alike."
Trademark is in final lease negotiations with more than 35,000 square feet of retail and food and beverage tenants, many of which will be new to the market. While primarily focused on creating a premier retail and entertainment destination, Trademark has designed Anthem with future-proofing in mind, allowing for the potential integration of mixed-use components as market opportunities evolve.
"Lincoln Square has been an iconic north Arlington spot for nearly 40 years, but the aging retail center has not seen the innovations or private investment needed to keep it market relevant," said Arlington Mayor Jim Ross. "Trademark's total $135 million+ planned investment will bring new shopping, dining and entertainment options, and serve as a catalyst for even more redevelopment."
In June 2026 the Arlington City Council approved the purchase of a 2.31-acre parcel within Anthem for an office development, which will proceed through a public bidding process.
Partners on the project include top design architect Dwell Design Studio, general contractor Joeris General Contractors, civil engineer mma, structural engineer Wright Engineers, MEP consultant Jordan & Skala Engineers, landscape architect Garrison/Jones, signage consultant RSM Design, and placemaking consultant Cora Design Collective, supplementing Trademark's internal placemaking team.
Anthem is just one of Trademark's portfolio of Dallas-Fort Worth area properties, which includes Shivers Farm, Galleria Dallas, Left Bank, Westbend, Alliance Town Center, The Vickery, and Westbend Residences. The company has a proven track record of delivering high-quality, community-focused retail and mixed-use environments, including Waterside, a popular Whole Foods Market-anchored project in Fort Worth, and Watters Creek, a mixed-use community in Allen.
