Western Alaska - The Alaska Veterans, Military Spouses and Alaska Residents Job Fair will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Alaska Airlines Center, located at 3550 Providence Drive in Anchorage. This Job Fair is open to all Alaska residents and is an opportunity to honor Alaska's service members.

This annual hiring event will feature over 100 employers, education and training providers, and registered apprenticeship programs, making it one of the largest job fairs in the state.

The opening ceremony will feature welcoming remarks from Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom, whose extensive career includes leadership roles in public service, business and military affairs. The ceremony will also include the National Anthem performed by Nina Spight, the Posting of the Colors by Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) Honor Guard and a keynote address by Lucretia Craig, co-founder of Gemini Executive and Professional Coaching. Craig is a veteran healthcare clinician who helps clients overcome challenges and advance in their careers.

"Alaska is proud to have the highest per capita population of military veterans in the nation, with more than 10% of our adult residents having served in uniform," said Commissioner Catherine Muñoz of the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. "We remain firmly committed to supporting Alaska's transitioning service members, military spouses, and veterans as they pursue meaningful, long-term employment opportunities across our state. Their service to our nation deserves our deepest respect, and our continued support, as they build successful civilian careers."

This job fair is designed to connect veterans, military spouses and all Alaskans with employment and occupational training opportunities. Participating employers and representatives will include those from the federal, state and municipal sectors, as well as key industries such as construction, healthcare, oil and gas, finance and transportation. Many employers return each year, citing the exceptional value and skills veterans bring to the workforce.

Event sponsors include: Alaska Federation of Filipino Americans, Moose's Tooth, Costco Wholesale, Golden Donuts, Golden Corral, Great Harvest Bread Company, New Sagaya, Lucky Market, The Moose 96.3, KFAT 92.9, KTMB 102.1 and BOB 92.1 FM.

This event is free and open to the public. Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally for potential interviews and bring copies of their resume and business cards.

The job fair is an America250-Alaska event. The traveling exhibit, "Alaska's Field of Dreams: Baseball in America's Far North," will be displayed at the event. The exhibit was developed by Alaska State Historian Dr. Katherine Ringsmuth.
