Chinese Ambassador to Mauritius Huang Shifang Attends the Mauritius Final of the 'Chinese Bridge' Competition for Secondary School and College Students

On June 7, the Mauritius finals of the 18th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Secondary School Students and the 24th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for College Students were successfully held at the University of Mauritius. The event was hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius and organized by the Confucius Institute UoM. Ambassador Huang Shifang was invited to attend the event and presented awards to the winners. Professor Sanjeev Sobhee, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mauritius, Mrs. Yang Fang and Mr. Naraindra KISTAMAH, Chinese and Mauritian Director of the Confucius Institute, were also present. Mr. Yang Jun, Cultural Counselor of Chinese Embassy & Director of the China Cultural Center in Mauritius, also joined the event.

On the occasion of the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations, Ambassador Huang encouraged the participants to make full use of their Chinese language skills to promote dialogue and mutual learning among civilizations, and to continue writing new chapters in the friendship between China and Mauritius.
