Blockchain developer and innovator Charles Hoskinson will present "Blockchain's Role in Redefining Global Systems" in the inaugural Wyoming Blockchain Stampede Speaker Series program Friday, Jan. 31, at the University of Wyoming.
Sponsored by the UW Center for Blockchain and Digital Innovation (CBDI), this free, public program is scheduled 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the UW College of Business auditorium.
Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano and co-founder of Ethereum, is CEO and co-founder of Input Output Global. Hoskinson's talk will feature an exclusive technical demonstration of Cardano's "seize and freeze" capability, proving its alignment with industry standards to ensure secure, transparent and compliant asset management on the blockchain. There also will be an open question session and a photo meet-and-greet.
"Charles Hoskinson is a blockchain visionary and supporter of blockchain education and research at UW, including the establishment of an endowed directorship for the center and sponsorship of the annual Wyoming Blockchain Stampede," says Steve Lupien, the CBDI's Ada Lovelace director. As a leading voice in blockchain innovation, Hoskinson will share his vision for the advancement of decentralized systems; the evolving role of blockchain in shaping global finance; and how education and technology can empower the next generation of innovators. He also will examine Wyoming's potential to become a major hub for digital innovation and the critical steps needed to secure this promising future.
