Wayne State President Richard A. Bierschbach to take oath of office

Who: Wayne State University President Richard A. Bierschbach officially began serving as WSU's 14th president on Feb. 24 following a unanimous election by the Wayne State Board of Governors. Previously, President Richard Bierschbach served as dean of Wayne State's Law School for eight years.

What: Bierschbach will formally be sworn in during a brief ceremony. The Hon. Edward Ewell Jr., Chief Judge for the 3rd Circuit Court, will administer the oath of office.

After the official swearing-in has been completed, Bierschbach will share brief remarks, and a reception will follow.

When: Thursday, April 23 at 4 p.m.

Where: McGregor Memorial Conference Center, 495 Gilmour Mall, Detroit, MI
