Broken Arrow in Motion- Utilities

The City of Broken Arrow is making progress on several essential Utilities projects across the community. Let's begin this month's Broken Arrow in Motion update near the corner of Lynn Lane and New Orleans at the site of the new Elevated Water Storage Tank with Ward 4 Councilor Justin Green.

  • Main St. Waterline Replacement Project. Following Rooster Days, a Utilities Department construction crew returned to downtown to remove antiquated lines and install a new six-inch waterline along East Mason Drive and Main Street. Currently, the new lines are being disinfected and connected to the City's water system. Later this month and into mid-June, the project will advance from East Mason to West Pittsburgh Place.
  • The Oak Crest Subdivision Water and Sewer Line Improvement Project is now complete, with only some cleanup left to finalize it for the residents.
  • At the Houston Street Waterline Project, from 1st Place to 6th Street, the Utilities Construction is awaiting approval of the water samples this week. They'll then spend the next three weeks connecting residential homes to the new main line and completing the final connections. The contractor is cleaning up the ditches and repairing the sidewalk. The project is scheduled to finish by July 1.
  • The 2.5-million-gallon elevated water storage tank in southeast Broken Arrow is almost complete. The tank's interior coating is finished, and we're conducting water sampling. Crews are now installing the facility's exterior lighting and finishing the site's dirt work.
  • At Arrow Forge, the Innovation District, the lift station is complete. Crews are busy working on the drainage pond, installing the light pole bases, laying sod, and cleaning up.
