Columbia Police respond to fatal traffic accident on Interstate 70 East
(COLUMBIA, MO) -
On June 27 at 1:30 p.m., Columbia Police responded to a traffic accident near the 123.2 mile marker of Interstate 70 East.
A single vehicle driven by Elbert Allen, 69, of Columbia, was traveling East on I-70 and crashed into a guard rail. Allen was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but later passed away from his injuries. Next of Kin has been notified.
