Commencement at Fresno Pacific to honor over 850 graduates

More than 850 students will walk across the stage on Saturday, May 9, marking a major milestone in their academic journey.

Ceremonies will be held at Selland Arena, 700 M St., Fresno. Commencement for undergraduate students will take place at 10:00 a.m., with the ceremony for graduate students happening at 3:00 p.m.

Of the 854 students expected to participate, 458 are undergraduate, including both traditional undergraduate and degree completion students, and 396 are graduate students.

Speaker Beth Hannah

Beth Hannah is a proud FPU alumna and current pastor, preacher and leader with 20 years of experience in both church leadership and nonprofit ministry. She will speak at both commencement ceremonies.

Hannah describes FPU as the place where her call to ministry first took root. She holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and was ordained in 2023.

After spending more than a decade working with InterVarsity in Fresno, she most recently served as the Associate Pastor of Missional Outreach at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, CA. Hannah is the co-founder of PreacHER Academy, a global movement activating women to preach with confidence and lead with boldness. Her ministry, Of Word and Fire, centers on Jesus Christ as she invites others to tangibly seek the Kingdom of God in everyday life.

Also participating in commencement will be FPU President André Stephens, Ph.D., Joshua Wilson, J.D., M.A., chair of the FPU Board of Trustees; and Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Alison R. Noble, Ph.D.
