Faculty Recital: Camilla Packroff and Samantha Frischling, sopranos

Thursday, Jan. 30 Georgia College & State University's Department of Music presents a Faculty Recital, "Singing Through Life," 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall, featuring Samantha Frischling, soprano; Camilla Packroff, soprano; Laurie Peebles, flute; and Lev Ryabinin, piano. They will perform art songs and arias that highlight different aspects of life, love and humanity. It spans a wide variety of works from Baroque chamber cantata arias and German Lieder to a contemporary art song that utilizes the words of Bob Dylan's "Forever Young." This concert will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment. A $5 donation is encouraged.
