PITTSBURGH, Pa., September 22, 2025 - U. S. Steel has released its 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting progress made last year in reducing emissions, advancing steel solutions, and delivering on growing customer demand for sustainable, high-performance products.

The report showcases U. S. Steel's continued work in sustainable solutions, including the world's first ResponsibleSteel™ product certification at Big River Steel - a major milestone that affirmed U. S. Steel's commitment to responsible sourcing, emissions reduction, and ethical governance.

Key highlights of the 2024 Sustainability Report include:

• Continued progress toward net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050

• Expansion of advanced, sustainable steel products including ZMAG™, COASTALUME™, and verdeX™
