Accident in the town of Malone leads to DWI arrest

On November 7, 2024, State Police members arrested Cody J. Armstrong, age 26, of Malone, NY, for driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operations 1st, and aggravated DWI.

On November 7, 2024, at approximately 4:39 p.m., State Police members responded to Limekiln Road in the town of Malone for a one car rollover accident. An investigation determined a 2011 gray Jeep, operated by Armstrong was traveling south on Limekiln Road, when he failed to navigate the curve, exiting the roadway, and striking a telephone causing the vehicle to overturn. Armstrong was not injured from the accident. Further investigation determined Armstrong was showing signs of impairment. Troopers administered SFST's which Armstrong failed.

Armstrong was arrested and transported to SP Malone, where he provided a positive breath sample of a .19% BAC. He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Malone Court for a later date in December.
