Deadlines Approaching for Annual ACE Awards

​ACE is now accepting applications for its annual awards, and nomination deadlines are approaching fast. ​The awards will be presented at the ACE Experience 2026 (ACEx2026), a multi-faceted, high-impact convening for college and university leaders Feb. 25-28 in Washington, DC. ACE Donna Shavlik Award

The ACE Donna Shavlik Award honors individuals whose leadership demonstrates a sustained commitment to advancing women in higher education through initiatives that enhance women's leadership and career development, campus climate, and mentorship. The award was established to honor Donna Shavlik, past director of ACE's former Office of Women in Higher Education.

Nominations will be accepted through Oct. 20. ACE is grateful to Fidelity Investments for its support of this award. Learn more here and contact the ACE Women's Network for more information.

ACE State Network Leadership Award

The ACE State Network Leadership Award for the Advancement of Women in Higher Education celebrates innovative programs, sponsored by a state network within the ACE Women's Network or by an ACE member institution, that have advanced or supported women's issues in higher education. Nominations close Oct. 20.

ACE/Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation

The ACE/Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation honors colleges and universities that have responded to significant challenges with creativity, innovation, and impact, enabling them to thrive in times of change. There are two categories based on enrollment size, and each winner receives a $10,000 prize.

Council of Fellows/Fidelity Investments Mentor Award

The Council of Fellows/Fidelity Investments Mentor Award recognizes ACE member presidents and chancellors who are former Fellows and who have made exceptional contributions to developing the next generation of higher education leaders. The winner receives a $5,000 award.

The nomination deadline is Nov. 12. ACE is grateful to Fidelity Investments for its support of this award. Click here to learn more.

ACEx2026, ACE's signature convening, is a transformative gathering for higher education leaders to engage in critical conversations about the future of higher education and explore solutions to today's pressing national and global challenges.
