The City of Bowling Green is proud to join communities across the nation in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Throughout the year, residents and visitors are invited to commemorate this historic milestone through experiences and initiatives that honor our nation's history, highlight local culture, and showcase the community spirit that defines Bowling Green.
To officially kick off local celebrations, Bowling Green and Wood County will host a community celebration on Jan. 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the Atrium of the Wood County District Public Library. The celebration will include patriotic songs, a display of historical flags, and cupcakes generously provided by the Bowling Green Community Foundation. Bowling Green Mayor Mike Aspacher, Wood County Common Pleas Judge Matthew Reger, and musical guest Reagan Otley will join the Library as it celebrates America's history. The event is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. For more information, call 419-352-5050 or Email WCDPL.
