The General Election in 2026 will be held on November 3, 2026. The first day to file with the City Elections Officer (the City Recorder) is June 3, 2026. The filing process, including signature verification, must be completed by:
The 2026 candidate elections are for City Councilor positions for Ward 1, Ward 2, and Ward 3. The respective election winners will serve a four-year term that begins on January 2025 and term expiring on December 31, 2030. For online candidate packets and more information on the November 2026 calendar deadlines, please visit: https://www.mcminnvilleoregon.gov/citycouncil/page/elections. Hard copies of candidate packets are available by scheduled appointment, or when ready to file paperwork/have questions, please call or email to schedule an appointment. The Council Positions for Ward 1, 2, and 3 will appear on the November 3, 2026 General Election ballot. Per OAR 165-010-0011 candidate's name and position will be posted within 5 business days of filing. The posting of SEL 101 will be posted within 2 business days after eligibility verification. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order by last name for the office in which they are running:

The successful candidates will be sworn into office on Tuesday, January 14th, at the first regular City Council meeting of 2027. Ballots for the November General Election will be mailed beginning October 16, 2024. Yamhill County Elections Division has several ballot collection boxes located throughout the County. All drop sites are open 24 hours a day - 7 days a week for a list of Drop Box sites: https://www.yamhillcounty.gov/407/Ballot-Drop-Box-Sites. All drop sites close at 8:00 pm, on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
