The Ohio State University Marching Band returned to Ohio Stadium in a blaze of glory. For the first time since 2001, TBDBITL sat in the north end of the 'Shoe - an old tradition made new. Another change this year is enhanced microphones and a separate speaker system to better project performances around the entire stadium.
As the Buckeyes faced the University of Texas in the season opener, the 148th edition of the band played a medley of gospel music at halftime. Songs included "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot," "Oh, Happy Day" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."
Fans were wowed by the band's formations, which featured two saxophones, a smiley face, two people singing in a choir and more.
Saturday's i-dotter was Sean Bauman, a Strongsville, Ohio, native with a degree in saxophone performance.
