On the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine, the European Union in Kosovo and the Embassies of France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom reaffirm their unwavering solidarity with Ukraine and its people.

For the fourth consecutive year, Ukrainians continue to endure immense suffering. Their cities are bombed, families displaced, and energy infrastructure deliberately targeted, particularly during winter. Civilians, including children, are paying the highest price.

Yet Ukraine stands.

While defending their homes, freedom and dignity, and their European future, Ukrainians are also defending the universal principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the principle that borders cannot be changed by force.

In Kosovo, these principles resonate deeply. We welcome Kosovo's voluntary alignment with the European Union's Common Foreign and Security Policy, including sanctions against Russia and Belarus, as a clear demonstration of its strategic commitment to peace, international law and its European future.

Achieving peace is urgent. But peace cannot come at any cost. A just and lasting peace must be based on international law. The outcome of this war will shape European and global security for decades to come. The European Union, France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom will continue to stand with Ukraine politically, financially, diplomatically and militarily.

Four years on, our message remains clear: Ukraine is not alone. The European partners stand with Ukraine. And together, we stand on the right side of history.
