Appomattox, Va.- On Saturday, April 25, 2026, Appomattox Court House NHP will participate in the 30th Annual Park Day, sponsored by the American Battlefield Trust. Park Day is an annual event giving volunteers an opportunity to help with clean-up and preservation projects on some of the nation's most sacred grounds.
This year, participants will scrape and paint a large section of picket fence within the historic village of Appomattox Court House. Participants should arrive and check in at the Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Water will be provided, but participants should bring their own lunch. This event provides a great opportunity to support the preservation of one of our nation's historic Civil War sites for generations to come.
