MoDOT to host public hearing regarding replacement of I-29/I-35 Corridor Upgrades in Clay County

Open-house style public hearing will take place from 4-7 p.m. on March 18.

CLAY COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will host an open house style public hearing regarding Interstate 29 and Interstate 35 Corridor Upgrades in Clay County | Missouri Department of Transportation. This project includes the replacement of I-29 SB to I-35 NB flyover bridge and replacement of the I-35/I-29 bridges over Parvin Road in 2028, and feedback on the conceptual design for upgrades to the I-29/I-35 interchange.

The public hearing will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18 atNorthland Neighborhoods, Inc. (NNI) located at 5340 NE Chouteau Trafficway, Kansas City, MO 64119.

The I-29 SB to I-35 NB flyover bridge and I-35/I-29 bridges over Parvin Road have reached the end of their service lives and while safe to travel on are scheduled to be replaced beginning in 2028.

The conceptual design study for upgrades to the I-29/35 interchange will develop alternatives to address roadway and bridge conditions, safety, congestion and access issues, ADA and pedestrian needs in the area.

Please note that this is an open-house-style meeting, and no formal presentations will be made. Those interested can attend the meeting anytime between the advertised hours to ask questions, learn more about the project, and leave comments. There will also be an option to leave comments online, beginning at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18 until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1. The online comment period will be available on the project webpage.
