Native Kingston Resident Acquires Indian Pond Country Club with Financing from Rockland Trust

Kingston, Mass. - July 29, 2026 - Rockland Trust today announced that it financed the acquisition of Indian Pond Country Club (IPCC), a private championship golf club in Kingston, Massachusetts. The buyer Bobby Palma is a Kingston native and local resident and South Shore entrepreneur with deep ties to the region.

Palma, an established local business owner, owns and runs several full-service dental laboratories across Massachusetts and has been a Rockland Trust customer for more than 20 years. A longtime member of IPCC, he approaches ownership with both a personal connection to the club and a strong, long-term commitment to its members, employees, and the surrounding community.

Founded in 2001, IPCC is set among wooded conservation land and the Indian Pond Estates residential community. The private club features an 18-hole, championship caliber golf course spanning 7,000 yards, a 45,000-square-foot clubhouse with dining and event spaces, and one of the largest privately owned pools in New England. Beyond golf, the club serves as a social hub, hosting weddings, banquets, and community events throughout the year.

Indian Pond's experienced management team will continue to oversee daily operations across golf, dining, events, and facilities. Erik Daigle, owner of Bluefish River Tavern in Duxbury, will join the project to lead food and beverage operations. He'll be joined by acclaimed local chef Joel Mantel of Plymouth's East Bay Grille, who will bring a vibrant, culturally diverse menu that blends creativity with a strong sense of community-enhancing the club's overall dining experience.
