RTM honoured at Agrobank Media Awards 2024/2025

Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) has once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting the nation's agro-industry and agricultural sectors, with five of its media practitioners receiving accolades at the 2024/2025 Agrobank Media Awards. The awards judged from over 150 media entries in collaboration with the Malaysian Press Institute, recognised outstanding media coverage that highlights agricultural activities and national food security issues with accuracy and positivity.

Among the winners was Muhammad Ameerul Hafiz Mohd Rosli from RTM Kelantan, who secured the top prize in the Television Broadcasting & Online Video category for his report on "Biofloc Technology Drives National Food Security." RTM Kedah also earned third place in the same category through Mohd Rashid B. Jali and Ahmad Rosli Aziz's report, "Usahawan Jambu Batu." In the Technology & Digital category, Fazli Berahim from RTM Kuala Lumpur won first place for his documentary on "Agrotek: Klon Elit Kacip Fatimah," while Alya Alvian Washif from RTM Sabah took third for her piece, "Rona Sabah: Jagung Bandau."

RTM's dedication extended to radio broadcasting as well, with Norahidah Abdul Rahim from RTM Perak earning runner-up status for her documentary "Women Farmers, Heroes Without Crowns." The award winners received trophies and cash prizes ranging from RM1,000 to RM5,000. Their achievements underscored RTM's important role in informing and inspiring the public about the vital contributions and developments within Malaysia's agricultural industry.
