U.S. Chamber Endorses Rep. Greg Murphy for North Carolina's Third Congressional District During National Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour

GREENVILLE, NC - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Rep. Greg Murphy for North Carolina's Third Congressional District at a free enterprise event in Greenville, North Carolina, today. The event was a stop on the Chamber's Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour, a national six-week bus tour promoting free enterprise.

At the event, U.S. Chamber representatives Tom Sullivan, Senior Vice President of Small Business Policy; Moore Hallmark, Vice President and Managing Director of Regional Government Affairs; and Nick Crocker, Vice President and Managing Director of Government Affairs, presented Rep. Murphy with the Chamber's Advocate for American Business Award, recognizing his support for policies that defend free enterprise and his work towards solutions that lower costs for consumers.

"Greg Murphy has earned the U.S. Chamber's endorsement through his commitment to expanding opportunity and helping entrepreneurs achieve the American dream," said Sullivan. "His support for the Working Families Tax Cuts reflects his commitment to making life more affordable and strengthening the economy in North Carolina's Third Congressional District. We look forward to working with Greg in the next Congress to advance pro-growth policies that help families, workers, and businesses thrive."

The U.S. Chamber endorses candidates for federal office who will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.

The national Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour is a six-week trip through 20 states and more than 50 events to make the case for free enterprise in communities across America and push back against growing support for government-directed economic policies that threaten economic freedom, opportunity, innovation, and growth.

The effort is part of a broader Chamber initiative, the New Fight for Free Enterprise, a multi-year effort to organize, mobilize, and make the case for free enterprise everywhere public opinion is shaped, public policy is made, and future generations learn what it takes for people and communities to thrive.
