OHFA Board Approves Financing for Housing Developments

COLUMBUS, OH - Today, the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) Board approved financing from various programs to support 13 housing developments to create or preserve affordable housing units throughout the state. The developments that received Board approvals for funding are:

Central

Opportunity Pointe I: Co-developers Woda Cooper Development, Inc., and Columbus State Community Partners received approval of a $1.75 million Housing Development Loan. The development previously received a 2025 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) reservation and will create 82 new units for families in Columbus (Franklin County).

Opportunity Pointe II: Co-developers Woda Cooper Development, Inc., and Columbus State Community Partners received approval of a $1.75 million Housing Development Loan. The development previously received a 2025 9% LIHTC reservation and will create 84 new units for families in Columbus (Franklin County).

Westerville Road Apartments: Connect Realty, LLC, received approval of a $2.5 million Housing Development Loan, an allocation of $10 million in Ohio LIHTCs, and approval to authorize up to $15 million in Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds. The development, which will also receive 4% LIHTCs, will create 52 new units for families in Columbus (Franklin County).

Northeast

ABJ Apartments: Co-developers, Neighborhood Development Corporation of Akron and Michigan Apartments, LLC, received approval of a $2.5 million Housing Development Loan and an allocation of $10 million in Ohio LIHTCs. The development, which will also receive 4% LIHTCs, will transform the historic Akron Beacon Journal building into 120 units for families in Akron (Summit County).

Black River Forge: Co-developers South Creek Development, LLC, and Common Purpose Development Group, LLC, received approval of an allocation of $10 million in Ohio LIHTCs. The development, which will also receive 4% LIHTCs, will create 122 new units for families in Elyria (Lorain County).

Homestead Crossing: Wallick Development, LLC, received approval of a $2.5 million Housing Development Loan and an allocation of $10 million in Ohio LIHTCs. The development, which will also receive 4% LIHTCs, will create 120 new units for families in Youngstown (Mahoning County).

McGregor Landing: Co-developers CHN Housing Partners and The McGregor Foundation received approval of a $2.5 million Housing Development Loan and an allocation of $10 million in Ohio LIHTCs. The development, which will also receive 4% LIHTCs, will create 115 new units for older Ohioans in Elyria (Lorain County).

Union at Cleveland Harbor: Union Development Holdings III, LLC, received approval of a $2.5 million Housing Development Loan and an allocation of $10 million in Ohio LIHTCs. The development, which will also receive 4% LIHTCs, will create 209 new units for families in Cleveland (Cuyahoga County).

Northwest

Fountain Creek Senior Villas: Co-developers Frontier Community Services and Williams County Port Authority received approval for $351,127 in additional Housing Development Assistance Program funding. The development, which also received a 2025 9% LIHTC reservation and a Housing Development Loan, will construct 50 new units for older Ohioans in Bryan (Williams County).

Southeast

Chesapeake Landing: Ironton-Lawrence County Area Community Action Organization received approval for $1,137,153 in additional Housing Development Assistance Program funding. The development, which previously received a Housing Development Loan and a 2025 9% LIHTC reservation, will create 66 new units for older Ohioans in Chesapeake (Lawrence County).

Southwest

Mid Line (fka Vine and Polk): Co-developers Over-the-Rhine Community Housing and 8K Development Company, LLC, received approval of $1,436,720 in additional Housing Development Assistance Program funding. The development, which previously received a Housing Development Loan and a 2025 9% LIHTC reservation, will create 57 new units for families in Cincinnati (Hamilton County).

St. Theresa Village: National Church Residences received approval for a $2.9 million Multifamily Lending Program loan. The development team will rehabilitate 50 units for older Ohioans in Silverton (Hamilton County).

Wesley Baymiller: Model Property Development, LLC, received approval of a $1.75 million Housing Development Loan. The development previously received a 2025 9% LIHTC reservation and will rehab 60 units for families in Cincinnati (Hamilton County).
