ST. LOUIS (April 28, 2026) - Copeland, a global leader in compression technologies and controls solutions, today announced the launch of its GO Real-Time GL and GO Real-Time GL XL cargo trackers, new monitoring solutions designed to deliver global connectivity and streamlined device management for temperature- and humidity-sensitive shipments across the food and pharmaceuticals supply chain.
With the Earth's population projected to grow to 10 billion people by 2050 - about 3 billion more than in 2010 - overall food demand is also on course to increase by more than 50% by 2050. With its deep expertise and innovation in cold chain technologies, Copeland plays a key role across the supply chain, preventing waste, protecting product safety and quality and helping ensure the global population can be fed more sustainably. Organizations transporting perishable and temperature-sensitive food and pharmaceuticals require dependable, end-to-end visibility to protect product integrity, reduce waste and support safe delivery.
At the same time, global telecommunications networks are gradually transitioning away from legacy 2G infrastructure to 4G connectivity, putting many existing tracking devices at risk of connectivity gaps. Copeland's GO Real-Time GL and GO Real-Time GL XL trackers are engineered on global long-term evolution (LTE) cellular technology, leveraging widely available 4G networks to provide more consistent and reliable data transmission and geolocation performance across global supply chains, enabling customers to maintain continuous visibility and simplifying device management.
"These new global trackers reflect how we're combining deep cold chain expertise with advanced, globally supported connectivity to address evolving supply chain demands," said Alex Axelsson, senior product manager at Copeland. "As telecommunications networks transition and supply chains grow more complex, customers need reliable, real-time visibility they can depend on. By pairing global 4G connectivity with the analytics power of Copeland's Oversight360, we're helping them protect sensitive goods, reduce waste and operate with greater confidence across their supply chains."
The GO Real-Time GL is optimized for shipments lasting up to 20 days and features an alkaline battery well-suited for faster approvals in air freight applications. The GO Real-Time GL XL is designed with a lithium battery for extended-duration shipments, offering up to 90 days of in-use life and expanded monitoring capabilities down to deep-freeze conditions. Together, the devices allow organizations to standardize monitoring across transportation modes, streamline global deployment and strengthen cold chain resilience.
Both devices monitor temperature, humidity, movement, light, security and location, and transmit real-time alerts and detailed shipment data to Copeland's cloud-based Oversight360 platform. Oversight360 translates that data into actionable intelligence, enabling organizations to detect risk earlier, benchmark carrier and lane performance, increase visibility across partners and make more informed supply chain decisions.
