The University of New Mexico's Compliance, Ethics & Equal Opportunity (CEEO) office will host Compliance Week from Nov. 3-7, joining a national initiative that highlights the importance of ethics, accountability, and doing the right thing-even when no one is watching.
The week celebrates UNM's commitment to integrity, transparency, and ethical decision-making. Organizational compliance is not just about following rules it's about building trust, strengthening the community, and supporting the University's mission.
Whether new to compliance or long-time supporters of these efforts, all students, staff, and faculty are invited to take part in a week of engaging events, conversations, and celebrations.
Campus Block Party
Monday, Nov. 3 | 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
UNM Cornell Mall
Compliance Week kicks off with a lively Block Party featuring food trucks, music, giveaways, and interactive compliance-themed activities. The event highlights the importance of ethics, accountability, and "doing the right thing" in everyday campus life.
Compliance Movie Screening
Thursday, Nov. 6 | 4-6 p.m.
UNM Student Union Building Theater
Join CEEO for a screening that explores the importance of compliance programs in professional settings. The featured film will spark discussion on real-world issues in ethics, transparency, and accountability. Light refreshments will be provided.
ACE Awards Reception
Friday, Nov. 7 | 4:30-6 p.m.
University Club
The week concludes with the 2025 Advancing Compliance and Ethics (ACE) Awards, honoring four staff members who exemplify a healthy, ethical, and compliant work and learning environment. These individuals are recognized for providing ethical guidance and setting an example of integrity across the university.
