NABIP Secures Court Victory That Immediately Lifts CMS' Moratorium On New Agent and Broker Registration

Today, NABIP secured a court ruling immediately lifting CMS' moratorium on new agent and broker registration for the federal Marketplace. Training will begin tomorrow, November 6. The moratorium had blocked approximately 19,000 licensed professionals from registering to help consumers with Plan Year 2027 coverage.

With Open Enrollment already underway, every day matters. This ruling clears the way for affected agents and brokers to complete required training and registration, as well as help individuals and families find coverage that fits their needs and budgets.

NABIP took this fight to court because access to professional guidance matters. It supports strong action against fraud while preserving the ability of qualified, licensed professionals to serve their clients.

Today's victory puts that commitment into action and advances the vision of NABIP's Healthcare Consumer Bill of Rights.

As soon as New Agent Training is released, NABIP will send instructions on how to get certified for 2027.
