The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released a list of health technology vendors that have committed to providing free or significantly discounted products and services to help states modernize the eligibility, enrollment and reporting systems used to administer community engagement and related Medicaid policies. The CMS fact sheet emphasizes that these commitments are voluntary and nonbinding and that the agency does not necessarily endorse the vendors. States are responsible for determining whether vendors meet applicable federal requirements.
According to the CMS, the list of participating vendors includes those already approved by the General Services Administration to sell products to government agencies. Other vendors seeking expedited approval have also expressed interest in collaborating with states to implement the Medicaid changes included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed into law on July 4, 2025.
The department aims to identify areas of the country willing to host nuclear lifecycle innovation campuses that would enable a full range of activities across the nuclear fuel cycle. States can use the agency's request for information portal through April 1 to submit responses and other feedback.
The agency announced the availability of $13.5 million for projects that enhance community wildfire smoke preparedness and reduce indoor exposures to pollutants in wildfire smoke. The funds are available through the Wildfire Smoke Preparedness in Community Buildings Grant Program, according to the notice of funding opportunity. The EPA is hosting a webinar on Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. ET to provide additional information about the application process. The application closes on April 15.
