Ambassador of Egypt to Armenia Amal Afifi presented her credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Armenia, Amal Afifi, presented her credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

Congratulating Ambassador Afifi on her appointment, President Khachaturyan noted: "Our countries share the same values. The relationship between our two peoples goes back thousands of years and has been preserved and passed down to this day. I am confident that during Your tenure you will see the warm attitude our people have toward Egypt. Today's cooperation continues the best traditions of our historical ties."

Ambassador Amal Afifi, in turn, expressed her gratitude, saying: "I extend my deepest appreciation to You. I feel here as if in my second homeland. I will do my utmost to further deepen and enhance the relations between Armenia and Egypt."

During the meeting, the sides discussed the close cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, cultural, tourism, and other areas. They explored ways to further expand and deepen this cooperation, aiming to elevate bilateral relations to a new level.

Special emphasis was placed on implementing joint initiatives in the fields of high technology and cybersecurity. It was noted that cooperation in these spheres could significantly contribute to the development of innovative programs and the enhancement of digital security.

Education and science were also highlighted as key areas of collaboration. The sides underscored the importance of academic exchange programs and the involvement of young specialists and students to strengthen scientific and technological ties.

Both sides highly appreciated the effective cooperation established within international platforms, noting that such interaction not only promotes the interests of both countries but also fosters mutual trust and partnership.

The importance of high-level reciprocal visits was also emphasized, as they have a positive impact on the development of economic, business, and tourism sectors, creating new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
