MDOT taking public comments on M-78 Bellevue construction detours

LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is repaving 1.2 miles of M-78 (Capital Avenue/Main Street) from Sharkey Street to the Battle Creek River through Bellevue. Work will include removing and replacing the existing pavement, replacing existing sidewalks and addressing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades. An extended construction detour will be required and MDOT is asking the public to submit public comments by Feb. 27 using the online comment form, by mail or e-mail to MDOT Public Involvement Specialist and Hearings Officer Monica Monsma at [email protected].
