Carrollton to Host Community Clean Out Day

Planning to do some spring cleaning? The City of Carrollton will host a free community clean out event for residents to responsibly dispose of bulk and brush waste on Saturday, March 21 from 8 a.m. to noon at the parking lot on Rainwater Lane across from the Carrollton Police Department (2025 E. Jackson Road).

Carrollton solid waste customers can drop off large household items such as broken furniture, appliances, bicycles, rugs, mattresses, and small amounts of construction material from home projects as well as brush and yard waste.

Bring a valid ID and a City water bill for proof of residency. The community cleanout day is intended only for Carrollton residents. Bulk waste brought by contractors will not be accepted at this event.

Staff will accept items on a first-come, first-served basis until the provided roll-off containers are full. Items will be disposed of by hand and no claw will be available to offload trailers or pickup trucks.

Materials not suitable for this event will not be accepted, such as freon-containing items (refrigerators and A/C units), household hazardous waste, and battery-operated electronics (cell phones, controllers, laptops, cameras, etc.) Residents needing to dispose of household hazardous waste or electronics can set up a free collection appointment by calling 469-451-3713 or visiting cityofcarrollton.com/HHW.
