On September 24^th, 2026, the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) awarded Pacific Dredge and Construction company the San Rafael Creek dredging project.

The USACE will manage the work by Pacific Dredge for the federal portion of the channel (i.e. the middle lane).

Additionally, some property owners along the waterway will be using the same dredging company for supplemental dredging work on their own property. This work is managed privately, but in coordination with the federal dredging, for improved efficiency and to reduce disruptions to the environment and marine traffic.

Please note: None of the dredging work is being performed or managed by the City of San Rafael, and inquiries regarding this work should be directed to either the USACE or Pacific Dredge and Construction as the company performing the work.
