Bobrow and De Matteis Speak at Business Owner Strategy Summit

Taft Cleveland attorneys Howard Bobrow and Michael De Matteis spoke at the Business Owners Strategy Summit in Cleveland on Oct. 16, 2024. They presented on "The Role of M&A Attorneys in the Growth Capital or Sale Process."

The Business Owners Strategy Summit was presented by DWT Wealth, MelCap Partners, Raymond James, Sikich, and Taft. Sessions were designed to help privately held business owners prepare for a full or partial exit of their business.

As chair of the firm's Venture Capital practice, Bobrow counsels private equity and venture capital firms, other institutional investors, and angel investors on all aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, capital formation, and private placements. He regularly represents and advises funds on their organization and formation, the fundraising process, governance matters, investments, and compliance with pertinent regulations.

De Matteis' practice primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate counseling. He advises buyers and sellers on all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence review, negotiation, deal structuring, and documentation of the deal, from preliminary discussions through closing.
