Zipper Lane successfully closed June 17

HONOLULU - The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) is sharing a final update on the status of the Zipmobile that was stalled on the H-1 Pearl City Viaduct between the Lehua Avenue underpass and the former Sears Distribution Center Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

The stalled Zipmobile was successfully returned to the Zip Hale. One of the two backup Zipmobiles closed the Zipper Lane at around 1 p.m.

The Zipper Lane will be in operation tomorrow.
