West Orange, NJ June 25, 2026 - Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH), Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset (RWJUH Somerset), all RWJBarnabas Health facilities, have been recognized among Newsweek's America's Best Hospitals for Specialized Care 2026. RWJUH earned recognition for Lung Cancer (Oncology), Coronary Angioplasty & Stent Placement (Cardiology), Endocrine Care and Orthopedic Care. CBMC was recognized for Neurological Care and Pulmonary Care, and RWJUH Somerset was recognized for Orthopedics. The annual ranking is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
Newsweek's Best Hospitals for Specialized Care rankings recognize leading hospitals and medical departments nationwide across seven specialty areas: Cancer Care, Cardiac Care, Endocrine Care, Gastrointestinal Care, Neurological Care, Orthopedic Care and Pulmonary Care. The rankings are based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes a nationwide survey of medical professionals and hospital leaders, patient experience data, Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) and hospital quality and safety metrics, including data from The Leapfrog Group.
