Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the I-70 Cave Springs to Fairgrounds Project Tuesday, October 29

ST. CHARLES COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, October 29 at 10 a.m. for the Interstate 70 Cave Springs to Fairgrounds Design-Build Project.

The ceremony is open to the public and will take place at the commuter lot located in the northeast corner of the I-70 and Cave Springs interchange. Construction crews will guide the public and guests to enter the ceremony from West Clay Street and park in the commuter lot.

This Design-Build project is a partnership with St. Charles County, who has contributed $10 million of the $62 million cost of the project. It includes reconstruction of the Cave Springs and Zumbehl interchanges into Single Point Urban Interchanges (SPUI). A new overpass allows traffic on Veteran's Memorial Parkway to go under Cave Springs without stopping at a traffic signal. At the Route 94 interchange, a new North Outer Road ends where the existing westbound I-70 off-ramp intersects with Route 94. This intersection was widened to accommodate three left turn lanes to southbound 94 and two right turn lanes to northbound 94. For more information, visit www.i70csfg.com
