Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the I-70 Cave Springs to Fairgrounds Project Tuesday, October 29

ST. CHARLES COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, October 29 at 10 a.m. for the Interstate 70 Cave Springs to Fairgrounds Design-Build Project.

The ceremony is open to the public and will take place at the commuter lot located in the northeast corner of the I-70 and Cave Springs interchange. Construction crews will guide the public and guests to enter the ceremony from West Clay Street and park in the commuter lot.

This Design-Build project is a partnership with St. Charles County, who has contributed $10 million of the $62 million cost of the project. It includes reconstruction of the Cave Springs and Zumbehl interchanges into Single Point Urban Interchanges (SPUI). A new overpass allows traffic on Veteran's Memorial Parkway to go under Cave Springs without stopping at a traffic signal. At the Route 94 interchange, a new North Outer Road ends where the existing westbound I-70 off-ramp intersects with Route 94.
