Drazan Dodges Debate Line-up, Ducks MAGA Affiliations, and Declines Tough Questions About Trump

Portland, OR - With just under six weeks until the May 19th Primary Election, GOP gubernatorial candidate Christine Drazan continues ducking, dodging and deflecting questions regarding her support for Donald Trump and his extreme MAGA agenda.

Drazan has a history of remaining silent about her support for Trump and his MAGA policies while working quietly in the background to advance them. Just last year, she sponsored legislation that would restrict voter rights and mail-on voting. She also shares Trump's anti-abortion stancesand has bragged about her endorsements from radical anti-abortion group Oregon Right to Lifeand far-right, anti-abortion extremistAlex Skarlatos.

As recently as this week, she described climate initiatives as "climate garbage" and expressed support for repealing Oregon's voter-approved sanctuary law during a campaign event.

But when asked directly, Drazan has dodged and deflected questions about her stances on Trump's attempt to send the National Guard into Oregon, his immigration enforcement policies, and the impacts of his illegal and costly tariffs. Drazan regularly runs away from opportunities to defend her stances - just this month, she skipped out on a major GOP primary debate, causing her leading opponents to drop the event as well.

As the GOP candidates prepare for their formal debate next week, voters deserve to know: why is Drazan trying to refuse to answer questions about her support for Donald Trump and his MAGA agenda?

"It's clear that Drazan is afraid to show her true colors as a real MAGA Republican," said Federico Araujo, DPO Communications Advisor. "But ducking, dodging, and declining questions about Trump and her stances isn't a display of leadership - it's cowardice. Voters deserve to know where she stands on these issues because they have made their voices loud and clear: they don't need another Trump in Oregon."
