BOZEMAN - Budding artists, engineers, scientists and other curious students can explore their interests at Montana State University's Peaks and Potentials camp in June.
Youth entering fifth through seventh grades are invited to the MSU campus June 15-19 for a summer camp featuring hands-on workshops on topics such as painting, robotics and meteorology, led by MSU experts and local professionals. Now in its 44th year, the camp provides full days of educational activities and optional evening events, including hiking and eating s'mores at Hyalite Reservoir, swimming at the Student Wellness Center and launching miniature rockets.
Participants get a sample of college life through on-campus dining and overnight lodging options. The price for students staying overnight on campus is $859, and the price for commuter participants ranges from $559 to $659. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available.
Registration for Peaks and Potentials closes June 8. To register or become a workshop instructor, visit the camp's website.
