OGH Auxiliary to Host Annual Strawberry Festival on June 18

OLEAN, N.Y. - The Olean General Hospital (OGH) Auxiliary invites the community to attend its 40^th Annual Strawberry Festival on Thursday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the front lawn of Olean General Hospital.

A longtime community tradition, the Strawberry Festival offers a full day of food, entertainment, raffles and family-friendly activities, all while supporting the OGH Auxiliary and its mission to benefit hospital programs and services.

More than 1500 pounds of fresh strawberries have been delivered with the majority being used to serve the festival's signature strawberry shortcake. Guests can also enjoy a variety of food offerings, including sausage with peppers and onions, hot dogs with assorted toppings, a baked potato bar, snacks and refreshments.

Festival attendees can browse and participate in raffle baskets and prize drawings, while enjoying live entertainment throughout the day. Family-friendly activities will include children's arts and crafts and face painting, making the event fun for all ages.

In addition to the festivities, a community health fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring information and resources from OGH services and local organizations. OGH departments participating include outpatient rehabilitation services, quality and stroke education. Community organizations participating in the health fair include Cattaraugus County Health Department, Southern Tier Child Advocacy Center and Olean YMCA and Swizzy's Cause.

ConnectLife will also host a community blood drive on the ConnectLife bus from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering attendees an opportunity to help save lives through blood donation. All donors receive a Tim Hortons gift card.

"This event has become a cherished tradition that brings people together for great food, family fun and community connection, while supporting the important work of our Auxiliary.
