Lewisville Animal Shelter "Pet of the Week" - Sharpie
In an effort to spread the word about animal adoption and to help these loving animals find fur-ever homes, the City of Lewisville will feature a Pet of the Week each week in this media packet, available for adoption at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 995 E. Valley Ridge.
This week's featured pet is Sharpie, a one-year-old Domestic Shorthair-mix cat. She is a dainty girl who gets along well with other cats. She is sweet and bold at the same time. She is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heartworm negative, had flea treatment applied, and sterilized.
Anyone interested in Sharpie can submit an application through the "Adoptable Pets" page at cityoflewisville.com. Just click on her picture and follow the unique URL to begin an online adoption application. Once the application has been submitted, Lewisville Animal Services will call the applicant on or before the next business day. While on the phone and if approved, staff will counsel the potential adoption and will schedule an appointment for a visit. Applications will be responded to in the order they are received.
Clear the Shelters adoption month
The Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is waiving adoption fees for all animals during the month of August as part of the national Clear the Shelters adoption campaign. The regular adoption fee is $90.
