Columbia Police arrest suspect in burglary of business on Paris Road

Columbia Police have arrested Casey Rushin, 31, of Columbia, in connection with an Aug. 9 burglary of a business in the 1900 block of Paris Road.

At about 2 a.m., police officers responded to a burglary in which a glass door was shattered and store contents were scattered on the floor. The business reported approximately $50,000 of merchandise stolen.

Through their investigation, Columbia Police detectives were able to identify Rushin's vehicle using Flock Safety cameras. Rushin was arrested Aug. 11 on charges of second-degree burglary, felony stealing and first-degree property damage.
