TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - I-95 / SR 896 Interchange - Upcoming Closures
I-95 / SR 896 INTERCHANGE - ; UPCOMING CLOSURES
New Castle - The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces there will be overnight multi-lane closures on northbound and southbound I-95 for concrete work (Mon. - ; Thu). There will be overnight lane closures on the southbound I-95 off ramp to southbound SR 896 for concrete work (Mon. - ; Tue.). There will be daytime lane closure on northbound SR 72 for truck access (Mon. - Fri.). Northbound I-95 is reduced to 3 lanes north of the SR 896 interchange to the Service Plaza (around the clock).

Monday August 31 through Friday October 30: Around the clock lane closure, NB I-95, Toll Plaza to Service Plaza. Three lanes through on NB I-95.
Monday August 31: Overnight multi-lane closure, SB I-95, Service Plaza to SR 896 Interchange (9PM - ; 5AM)
Monday August 31 and Tuesday September 1: Overnight lane closure, SB I-95 off-ramp to SB SR 896 (9PM - ; 5AM)
Monday August 31 through Thursday September 3: Overnight multi-lane closure, NB and SB I-95, Toll Plaza to Service Plaza (9PM - ; 5AM)
Wednesday September 2 (Thursday September 3 back-up date): Overnight lane closure, NB I-95, SR 896 Interchange to Service Plaza (9PM - ; 7AM)
