From March 24 to 27, the China Rubber Industry Association held the 2026 China Rubber Annual Conference in Qingdao. During the conference, the Enlarged Meeting of the Rubber Machinery and Molds Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association was convened on March 24. Attendees included Zhu Hong, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Rubber Industry Association; Jiang Xin, Secretary-General of the Rubber Machinery and Molds Branch; and Guan Bingzheng, Branch Chairman, as well as Chairman and President of MESNAC. Representatives from governing units and key enterprises engaged in in-depth discussions on the industry's operational status in 2025, existing challenges, and development trends for 2026. The meeting was hosted by Zhou Chuanhai, General Manager of MESNAC Union Technology Co., Ltd.
In his speech, Guan Bingzheng noted that the rubber machinery and molds industry achieved overall positive growth in 2025 despite multiple challenges. Notably, exports of rubber machinery accelerated against the trend, while the mold industry steadily climbed. He emphasized that industry development has transitioned from a phase of scale expansion to one of quality enhancement.
This year marks the beginning of the "15th Five-Year" development plan period, a critical five-year phase for advancing China from a "major rubber nation" to a "strong rubber nation." Regarding industry development in 2026, Guan proposed three strategic directions: first, focusing on green, intelligent, and international development; second, actively aligning with the trend of tire companies expanding overseas to achieve coordinated global development and mutual benefits; and third, concentrating on new energy tire demands and AI technology upgrades to empower the industry's high-end transformation.
On March 26, at the sub-forum themed "Digital Empowerment, Green Development," Yang Huili, Vice President of MESNAC, shared technical achievements on "In-depth Applications of Artificial Intelligence Technology in Rubber Tire Manufacturing." She introduced a comprehensive intelligent system establishing a closed loop of "real-time perception - autonomous learning - intelligent decision-making - closed-loop execution." This system leverages industrial vision for high-precision measurement and control with low defect omission rates, utilizes MCC industrial software to integrate data across all processes for millisecond-level correction, and employs large models for intelligent operation and maintenance, enabling rapid fault query responses with high accuracy to support predictive maintenance.
From setting the industry direction during the council meeting to showcasing AI implementation results at the forum, MESNAC's dual actions demonstrated its responsibility and commitment to driving high-quality development within the industry amidst a changing landscape.
