Published: 15 Jan 2025 04:37pm

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews are currently at the scene of a significant apartment block roof collapse at Cabramatta, in Sydney's south-west.

The two-level block in Myall Street has sustained substantial damage after the roofing section collapsed inwards, on the top level of the building, just after 12.30pm today.

Specialist FRNSW crews are assessing the extent of the damage to 6 two-level units within the complex.

Approximately 20 occupants managed to evacuate safely.

Five fire trucks and approximately 20 firefighters are on scene, and operations are expected for an extended period as they stabilise the site and gather further information.
