Rep. Jarrells Announces Nearly $4.6M in State Funding to Support Behavioral Health Services, & Community Development Projects

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Dontavius L. Jarrells (D-Columbus) Monday announced that the Ohio Controlling Board has approved nearly $4.6M in state funding, investing in behavioral health support and local facility renovation projects in the district.

"Government works best when it shows up for people. This investment strengthens behavioral health services and improves public facilities, so they meet the real needs of the community we serve," said Rep. Jarrells.

The items approved were:

  • Items #19-20: $4.5M awarded to DAS for painting and carpet replacement in Rhodes Tower and elevator modernization at state owned N. High complex buildings.
  • Item #21: $96K awarded to DBH for interpretation services at Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare.
