Head of QazaqGaz Inspects the Amangeldy Field Group

The Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz, Alibek Zhamauov, paid a working visit to the Amangeldy group of gas fields.

The Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz, Alibek Zhamauov, paid a working visit to the Amangeldy group of gas fields. During the trip, he reviewed ongoing operations and discussed plans to further expand the country's gas resource base. According to the 2026 production plan, output across the group of fields is expected to reach approximately 350 million cubic metres.

As part of the visit, the Head of the national company also inspected the rotational camp at the Amangeldy field, assessing living conditions and the organisation of work for operational personnel. The total workforce numbers 134 employees, including 40 engineering and technical specialists and 94 field workers. Particular attention was given to industrial safety and compliance with production standards.

In addition, Alibek Zhamauov visited the gas treatment unit at the Amangeldy field. Discussions focused on measures to improve equipment efficiency and reduce operational risks.

The Barkhannaya field, commissioned in 2025, was also inspected. Field personnel reported on the technological solutions applied in developing the site.

Following the visit, a meeting was held to address geological exploration matters, with the participation of QazaqGaz Exploration and Production LLP. The participants discussed priority areas for exploration activity, as well as objectives related to reserves replacement and the expansion of the national gas resource base.

As a result of the visit, instructions were issued to strengthen production discipline, accelerate exploration activities and ensure the uninterrupted operation of gas supply facilities in the Zhambyl region.
