BLM and Forest Service approve Cross-Tie transmission project

WASHINGTON - The Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service published records of decision for the Cross-Tie 500-kilovolt transmission project. The decisions authorize a right-of-way across BLM-managed public lands in Nevada and Utah and the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest's Ely Ranger District for the construction of a high voltage electric transmission line. This project supports the Administration's priority to strengthen the reliability and security of the United States electric grid as stated in Executive Order 14262.
