Broome County Cuts Ribbon on New Indoor Ice Skating Rink at Grippen Community Park to Kick Off Skating Season

December Hours & 2026 Season Pricing Announced

(VILLAGE OF ENDICOTT, NY) - Broome County Executive Jason Garnar and Broome County Parks Director Brenda Gowe were joined by Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo and others to officially cut the ribbon today on the brand-new indoor ice skating rink at Grippen Community Park.

Skating and skate rentals will be free for the entire month of December. Beginning in January 2026, skating will be $5 per session, with skate rentals available for $5 per session. All skaters must sign a waiver before going on the ice. Skaters under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver, and children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Assist bars are provided at no cost, the ice will be cleaned between sessions as needed, and concessions will be open during all skating hours.

December Hours of Operation

Fridays: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Saturdays & Sundays: 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Winter Break (December 22-23, 29-31): 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

2026 Pricing

Skate Rink Use Fee: $5 per session

Skate Rental Rate: $5 per session
